Now to the most important part, the prices! Just a reminder that you’re paying for a custom piece of art from a disabled, neurodiverse, nonbinary queer person that you can use for your project. Professional work is not cheap, nor is it easy. My work is expensive because my time is valuable, but also, you’re getting the rights to use my art in many different ways. I’m a firm believer in the idea that you get what you pay for.
Character Sketches
So why don’t I have prices up for character sketches? Most folks who want character sketches are looking for a particular style of artwork. Most character sketches are rough like the pet portrait above or if they are in color, they are cartoon or anime like. They tend to be closer to, well, sketches, than paintings. Because I’m moving away from sketches and cartoons and fully into paintings, I don’t want to take on character sketches at this time. If you really want me to paint your character, I’m happy to do so for the price listed above for a book cover. Otherwise, I suspect there are folks out there who can do what you need faster and cheaper.
